As can be seen, aggregate international dry bulk shipments are WAY down, the lowest since 1986, but recovering. Rail companies have been first to recover since last year's over-the-cliff move, moving large shipments of minerals and grains. Domestic ocean freight companies are moving, but operating margins are still very lean. Trucking is still lagging any sort of recovery that the talking heads are saying has arrived...
